Zero Trust Cyber Platform Adoption In Federal Govt

Computers and information technology

In the last three years, the US government spent the most on identity/access management in terms of zero-trust cybersecurity. This was discovered by Deltek in their market analysis.

A report by Deltek shows IDAM beats out other software tools as the most popular among federal agencies. From 2020 to 2022, IDAM was adopted the most. Alex Rossino, advisory research analyst at Deltek, authored the report.

The government is moving to zero trust architecture coz of Executive Order 14028. Zero trust needs IDAM, continuous monitoring and cloud-based endpoint management to work.

The government spent $380 million on IDAM in three years. The most popular identity gateway product was ID.me.

Agencies spent $60.4 million on monitoring tech from 2020 to 2022. They used stuff like IBM's QRadar and Forcepoint ONE.

US government agencies spent $43.2 million on endpoint management/protection platforms. These platforms include Symantec's Broadcom, Crowdstrike's Falcon, and Tanium Cloud. This spending took place over a period of three years.

Rossino predicts that the three platforms will still be important in the cloud services market. Governments will invest more in zero trust cybersecurity. This leads to higher demand for these platforms.
