Grimes demands Elon Musk let her see her son, says SpaceX chief is ‘ripping my family apart’

Grimes desires to have a glimpse of her son whom she had with her previous partner, Elon Musk. Yet, she asserts that she's being excluded from doing so.

The person who sang "Oblivion" appears to have replied in a post that has since been taken down, to an article by author Walter Isaacson who was promoting his new biography of Elon Musk. The article featured pictures of the SpaceX CEO and Shivon Zilis, the mother of Musk's new twins. Grimes tweeted a request to the writer asking him to relay a message to Musk, saying that Musk and Zilis have supposedly prevented Grimes from seeing her own child who is also Musk's son.

Grimes posted on Reddit, requesting Shivon to unblock her and asking Elon to permit her to meet her son. She also urged them to respond to the messages sent by her lawyer. In her post, she expressed her distress about not being able to see her children, and how this situation has caused a rift in her family. Furthermore, she revealed that she did not even have access to a picture of her kids until this point.

Grimes' representatives did not directly reply to a comment request from the Los Angeles Times. The Times also attempted to reach out to Musk through X's press office, but only got an automatic response stating that he was currently occupied and to try again at a later time.

Grimes and Musk were publicly reported to be in a romantic relationship when they strolled down the carpet together at the 2018 Met Gala, which had an otherworldly "Heavenly Bodies" theme. Then, in 2020, Grimes nonchalantly revealed on Instagram that she was already seven months pregnant while presenting her latest album "Miss Anthropocene." Further on, Grimes confirmed that Musk was the baby's father.

A child was born to them in May 2020 and they named him X Æ A-Xii. During an interview with Vanity Fair in 2022, the artist behind "Genesis" disclosed that they had also had a daughter through a surrogate and her name is Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, who was born in December 2021.

Only a few months prior to having their child, the current proprietor of the ex-Twitter expressed to Page Six that they were "kind of separated" from Grimes, but they still had affection for each other and kept in regular contact while maintaining a great relationship.

During an interview where she shared news of her and her partner's second child, Grimes expressed her thoughts on their relationship. She mentioned that although she would typically categorize him as her boyfriend, they have a fluid dynamic where they maintain separate living spaces but remain close friends. They spend a lot of time together and have a unique dynamic that others may not comprehend.

Nonetheless, Grimes provided further explanation on Twitter subsequent to the publication of that article, conveying that she and Musk had split up once more.
