Twitter Mocks Elon Musk's Crappy Livestream

Elon Musk

People on Twitter have been complaining about the changes that have happened since Elon Musk became the CEO.

Musk says his changes are good. He took away blue checkmarks and let people edit Tweets. But now, people are making fun of him because of a new livestreaming feature on Twitter.

Elon Musk wants Twitter to verify certain individuals. He is determined to make it happen. Verification is a way to prove a user's identity on the platform. Users can receive a blue checkmark next to their name. Musk has expressed concerns about fake accounts pretending to be him. He also wants to combat scammers and impersonators. Twitter has yet to respond to Musk's request.

On Wednesday, the rich guy tried the new thing. He sent a livestream to his 138 million Twitter followers.

People saw that the live video was blurry. The video quality was not good. This happened for the entire length of the 4 minute and 26 second video.

Musk says they are trying out the live video feature. They want to see if it works well. If there is a problem, they will change it.

In the video, he and a coworker say that the code for the livestream is from Periscope's 2015 code. Twitter bought Periscope before its independent launch, but it was shut down in 2021.

Lots of people watched Musk's live stream - around 150,000. But then the video stopped working. Now the video is on his Twitter and loads of people have watched it - over 9.2 million times.

Lots of people on Twitter reposted Musk's stream. They said the video was not very good.

. My guess is that if Elon gets better at live-streaming, it could cause the Internet to crash. The livestreams might be better quality than the past 8-bit Twitter ones. It's possible we could finally have good quality Twitter livestreams.
