The government of the Virgin Islands is taking legal action against a bank regarding Epstein's sex trafficking. The Virgin Islands wants to subpoena Musk but hasn't been able to yet. Epstein may have suggested Musk as a client to JPMorgan.

The Government emailed Mr. Musk's counselor to ask if he could accept service on his behalf. They didn't get a reply from the counselor confirming or denying his authority.

The bank is accused by the government of benefiting from Epstein's sex trafficking. Other billionaires have been subpoenaed for information as well. Bloomberg reported on this. Epstein was found to have killed himself in a New York jail in 2019 while waiting for trial on sex trafficking-related offenses.

The Virgin Islands went to court in Manhattan. They filed some papers about Musk. Musk got a subpoena on 28 April.

Musk, who heads Tesla and SpaceX, is also a Twitter owner and wealthy person. The filing suggests that Epstein may have referred Musk to JPMorgan.

JPMorgan is being accused by the US Virgin Islands authorities. The accusation says that JPMorgan missed red flags. These red flags were about Epstein's abuse of women. The abuse happened on Little St James. This was a private island owned by Epstein. The island is located in the Caribbean archipelago.

The bank said it's not responsible for executive's Epstein association.

They wanted all messages between the businessperson and JPMorgan discussing Epstein. They also wanted talks between Musk and Epstein.

The subpoena asked for papers about fees Musk gave to Epstein or JPMorgan, in connection to Musk's accounts or relationship with JPMorgan.

They also requested Musk to provide any papers pertaining to Epstein's role in human trafficking or his efforts to obtain females for prostitution.

The Virgin Islands asked for details to serve a subpoena on Musk. The government couldn't serve Musk with an initial subpoena at Tesla or through an attorney. The subpoena was to be served on Musk by alternative means.
