Kia has been compelled to issue a recall for over 5,000 vehicles due to concerns that they may unexpectedly ignite or experience a loss of engine function.

The potentially life-threatening issue impacts the SL Sportage, YD Cerato, and XM Sorento models that were purchased from 2011 to 2015. This poses a danger if the vehicles were regularly used without receiving mechanical inspection.

The blog suggests that all Kia car owners should promptly get in touch with a Kia dealership to schedule an engine inspection.

Kia has made a commitment to provide a complimentary engine replacement if required.

The Department of Transport spokesperson stated that the engine might produce unusual sounds and could possibly become inoperable, when announcing the recall on Thursday.

The Kia SL Sportages manufactured from 2011 to 2015 are among the three models impacted by the product recall.

This could result in an abrupt decrease in engine function and/or a car catching fire.

The division expressed concern about the flaw, stating that it 'may elevate the likelihood of a mishap, resulting in severe harm or even fatalities for people inside the vehicle, pedestrians, onlookers, and/or causing property destruction.

If you own one of the impacted vehicles, it is essential that you promptly get in touch with a Kia dealership to arrange for an engine inspection.

If needed, the engine will be replaced without any cost.
