Lauren Sanchez shared the tough aspects of being with Jeff Bezos. There are rumors that the couple is now engaged after dating for almost five years.

Sanchez is 53 years old and has been dating Bezos, who is 59, since January 2019. She recently gave her first solo interview since they made their relationship public. Sanchez talked about what it's like to be in a high-profile relationship with Bezos in the interview with WSJ Magazine.

Sanchez said she's a very open person. She has changed the way she shares info since being with the entrepreneur.

"It's tough," she said. "I talk a lot and share my secrets openly. But, I've learned that I can't do that all the time."

Sanchez thought it was a positive lesson. She used to speak to people, but nobody paid attention. Sanchez reflected on her past.

The interviewer asked Sanchez if it's hard for her to keep her private life private. Sanchez admitted that sometimes she has to stop herself from sharing too much.

Sanchez said she thinks about privacy often and keeps information to herself.

"I want to share everything and have everyone as my friend," she said. But she learned not to disclose her location. Why? She's dating the third-richest man globally, worth $120bn.

She learned to not reveal her location. No Instagramming as before. Be private and controlled. And that's okay, she said.

Sanchez says the press writes "ridiculous" stories about her and Bezos. She's not surprised by anything anymore.

Sanchez remembered a story that stood out. It said the couple sent a plane to get their passports because they forgot them somewhere.

She said the story was ridiculous.

Sanchez said that people often report false information about where she and her partner are. They sometimes receive messages from family saying, "Why didn't you tell us you're in New York?" when they are not actually there. It can be frustrating to correct the misinformation.

The pilot said she keeps some things to herself. She doesn't share much about being a mom on social media. But, being a mom is important to her.

Sanchez has 3 kids. One son, Nikko, is with former NFL star Tony Gonzalez. Evan and Eleanor, her other son and daughter, are with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell. Bezos, on the other hand, has 4 children: 3 sons and 1 daughter with ex-wife MacKenzie Scott.

Everyone knows a lot about me already. I share a lot. But people don't realize that being a mom is very important to me. I don't post about it on social media, but it's my top priority.

Sanchez said that Bezos is surprisingly funny and can act silly. People may not expect this from a commercial astronaut.

Sanchez likes her partner's laugh that always makes her smile. But, at first, she was surprised by Bezos' distinct laugh.

She was surprised by his laugh at first. Now she loves it. If they get separated at a party, she waits for his laugh to find him. He inspires her every day. He makes her a better person. He is the most loving person she knows.

Sanchez talked about Bezos liking pancakes every week. She said he uses the Betty Crocker cookbook to make them. They also like spending time together.

Sanchez said they love working and spending time together. He is assisting her with the book and also getting his pilot's license. They fly and work out together frequently. She enjoys being with him all the time.

Whitesell and Sanchez were married for 13 years but got divorced in October 2019. Bezos and Scott were married for over 25 years but finalised their divorce in April 2019.

A couple is in the South of France for Cannes Film Festival. People say they got engaged. The woman, Sanchez, showed off a diamond ring on Bezos' yacht. Bezos' yacht is worth $500 million.
