The minister of China's industry saw Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla on Wednesday. They talked about making electric and smart cars together. The ministry said this.

China's government is attempting to renew interest in the economy. Investors are uneasy due to recent raids on consulting firms. Tensions with the US have also contributed to foreign companies feeling uneasy.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a statement about Jin Zhuanglong and Musk. They talked about new energy vehicles and intelligent networked vehicles. The statement didn't say more.

China sells the most electric vehicles in the world. Tesla’s first non-American factory is in China.

China's Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with Musk on Tuesday. During the meeting, Qin mentioned that China's electric vehicle market has great potential for development. This statement was released by the ministry.

In 2019, Tesla started a car factory in China. It was the first foreign-owned factory in China. Beijing allowed this to happen because they wanted more competition and faster industry growth.

Musk said Tesla wants to grow in China. China quoted him and said Tesla doesn't like the idea of the world breaking apart into different markets. These markets might not be able to use the same products.
