Square, a small business banking platform, reports disruptions with several services
(Silver News) - Square, a banking platform catering to small businesses, is currently examining an interruption in its banking services that resulted in difficulties for customers on Thursday.
On Thursday morning, Block Inc., the company behind the financial services platform, announced that there were problems with their services.
As per the website of the platform, engineers have informed about disturbances affecting the functionality of Square Time Cards, Square Stands and Readers, Data Centers, and various other services provided by Square.
Square also addressed customers’ worries about X, stating, “We are currently facing problems with various Square services. We acknowledge the significance of having our services operational for your business, and we are actively striving to find a solution. We will provide you with updates on http://issquareup.com as we gather more information.”
Several companies and clients affiliated with Square expressed their inability to carry out transactions and acknowledged that the disruption had caused them inconvenience lasting several hours.
On Thursday night, the platform announced that engineers are still striving to determine the underlying reason for this persistent disturbance.
"We understand that this disturbance is affecting numerous businesses currently," the platform additionally stated. "We have assigned the appropriate individuals to address this issue and we are wholeheartedly dedicated to resolving the issue as promptly as possible."
