Free Wi-Fi For All! Singapore Airlines From July

Starting July, Singapore Airlines will provide complimentary Wi-Fi access to customers in all cabin classes. This move is a result of the increasing demand for internet connectivity while flying. Previously, only certain classes received access. This will allow passengers to stay connected with friends and family, as well as to work and stream videos. Singapore Airlines continues to innovate and provide excellent service to its customers.

Singapore Airlines will give infinite internet access to fliers in all seating categories on their planes starting from July 1, 2023.

The service can be used by people who are travelling in suites, first class or business class.

Mr. Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior VP Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines said high-speed in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity is vital for customers in today's hyper-connected world.

To get the service, you must be in the KrisFlyer programme. Joining KrisFlyer is free. The airline said this.

The airline has 136 passenger aircrafts. All the aircrafts offer free Wi-Fi to passengers. Only seven old Boeing 737-800 aircrafts don't have internet access.

Airlines worldwide have different internet packages. Some offer free messaging, but charge for video streaming and browsing. Others charge for all internet services on board. Internet access can be tailored for different flight durations. Lots of airlines offer wifi including Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, Norwegian Airlines and Delta. Emirates and Etihad now have more internet options for flyers.

Air India and Vistara have entertainment systems on some domestic flights in India. There is no internet on domestic flights yet.
